"Playing" with friends was my life as a child. Everyday my friends would come over and wait for me to come outdoors after school and completing my homework. We would play games of: kickball, tag, hide and seek, school, any bounce, etc. I was very athletic. I got along really well with my friends. My friends and I would sometimes go with each other’s families on road trips. It was a great time in my life. Little did I know that progressing through the continuum of development? The physical, social, emotional, communication-language and cognitive abilities were developing as I interacted with peers. All of these things were going on and I thought I was just having fun as a child. "Play" brings out the best in a kid!
